Julian Burnside QC is one of Australia's foremost public interest advocates. He has been involved in prominent public interest cases studied in Consti and D&E, such as the Tampa Case and the Trevorrow Case, and he recently stood as the Greens candidate for Kooyong.
During our interview, we discussed what makes a successful barrister and public interest advocate, balancing public interest work and commercial work, and the importance of the arts in his life.
